Our Model
Our vertically integrated business model allows us more flexibility, helps reduce our carbon footprint and faster turnaround times than most in the market. From printing, fulfillment, die cutting, and sewing to advertising and design, we do everything in-house and do not rely on outsourcing.
One Source
We have 215,000 square feet of manufacturing, fulfillment and storage space in La Mirada, CA. We have every step of the process under our roof, this reduces transportation requirements and the resulting pollution manufacturing in this La Mirada facility.
Warehouse Distribution
MBC maintains a warehouse distribution center on site. We keep inventory and ship out orders received, from our facility the same day the orders are placed. Over the years we have developed strategies with our freight carriers and UPS & FedEx to make fulfilling an order efficient for our clients.
Recycling
We strive to be as efficient as possible, creating as little waste as we can. Scrap materials are collected from each department and recycled daily. We recycle everything from office paper, plastic, wooden pallets, metal, film, cardboard and electronic waste to keep away from landfills and minimize our ecological foot print. Our recycling policies have been implemented for over 20 years, and have resulted in hundreds of thousands of pounds of waste diverted from landfills.
Innovative and Creative Reuse
We love putting creative ideas into practice. We donate scrap from wooden crates to Habitat for Humanity. At our facility, we take notes on spiral pads made from old advertising materials, as well as the clean paper waste from offices and our Graphics Department. Our cardboard boxes are collected and reused as many times as possible rather than processed into pulp, saving energy and chemical inputs.
Energy and Water Efficiency
5 Years ago we executed a full retrofit of high efficiency light fixtures in our factory and recently implemented daylight-harvesting technology, a move that saves hundreds of hours of energy each year. We have also improved the efficiency of our industrial air compressors, bathroom fixtures, and installed a water recycling power washer in our screen department saving thousands of gallons of water a year. We always exceed the AQMD air quality requirements and work closely with the power company and installed timers throughout the building that shut off designated power grids during peak hours.
Sourcing
We are always looking for more ecologically sound materials and services. Our catalogs and marketing materials are printed on recyclable materials. We work closely with our vendors and are always looking into more recycled substrates to integrate into our manufacturing processes.
